Kenny R. Moats Scholarship
Eligibility: Students must meet the following eligibility criteria.
o Resident of Blount or a surrounding County
o U.S Citizenship
o Dependent child of a First Responder (Law Enforcement, Fire or Ambulance)
o Graduating high school senior
o Attending an accredited public or private college, university, trade school or non-traditional higher education program accredited by the appropriate accrediting body for the course of study and registered as a full-time student
o Be able to demonstrate financial need
Scholarship: $1,156 is a 4 year renewable award
Scholarship application deadline has passed for 2024

Officer 156 Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Students must meet the following eligibility criteria.
o Resident of Blount or a surrounding County
o U.S Citizenship
o Individual desiring a career in “local law enforcement” by attending a
local police academy
OR a current Law Enforcement Officer enrolled in an
accredited college or university where the course selection directly applies
to advancement in their Law Enforcement career
OR a current student studying criminal justice entering their final year
o Be able to demonstrate financial need
Scholarship: $1,156 one time award for one year
Scholarship deadline has passed for 2024.
